Basketball Recap: Fivay Skates Past Angeline Academy of Innovation with Ease

Fivay won the last time they faced Angeline Academy of Innovation and things went their way on Friday too. The Fivay Falcons simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Angeline Academy of Innovation Archers 83-22. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 33 points or more this season.

Fivay's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Odell Brown, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 16 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. Brown is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last nine games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sean Brown, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 13 points and three steals.

Fivay smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in nine consecutive matchups.

Fivay is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 47 points. As for Angeline Academy of Innovation, they dropped their record down to 0-13 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home.

Fivay will take on River Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Angeline Academy of Innovation, they and Academy at the Lakes will face off at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.
