The Ribault Trojans posted their biggest win since December 2, 2023 on Wednesday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 76-49 victory over First Coast. Given Ribault's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 97th, while First Coast is ranked 215th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Caleb Williams continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 22 points. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last nine times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jamian Jackson, who scored 15 points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Ribault and bumps their season record up to 13-5. As for First Coast, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ribault will take on Mandarin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mandarin knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 12 contests -- so hopefully Ribault likes a good challenge. As for First Coast, they will play host again and welcome West Nassau, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
