Football Recap: Manti's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Manti won the last time they faced Carbon and things went their way on Friday too. The Templars were the clear victors by a 42-21 margin over the Dinos. The Templars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by 21 points or more this season.

Manti's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tala Taulapapa led the charge by rushing for 85 yards and two TDs on only six carries. Taulapapa is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Mason, who threw for 153 yards and three touchdowns on perfect 5-for-5 passing.

Manti didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Bodee Jones and Griffin Cox.

Although Carbon took the loss, they still got scores from Kayden Dunn, Daxtyn Mower, and Dawson Johnson.

The win (which was Manti's third in a row) raised their record to 6-3. As for Carbon, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.
