Bayside is 2-8 against Landstown since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. In what's become a running theme this season, Bayside gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Cox with a sharp 66-40 win. With Bayside ahead 40-20 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Jessie Ware continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 25 points along with nine steals and seven assists. Ware is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Micala Poe, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Landstown posted their biggest win since December 5, 2023 on Tuesday. They blew past Tallwood 51-9 on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Landstown has posted against Tallwood since February 18, 2020.
Bayside has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season. As for Landstown, their win bumped their record up to 4-12.
Everything came up roses for Bayside against Landstown in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 68-39 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bayside since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
