The Delaware Military Academy Seahawks fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They enjoyed a cozy 28-14 victory over Newark on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Delaware Military Academy also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2022.
Delaware Military Academy found their leader in underclassman Odell Teel, who rushed for 105 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries, and also threw for 114 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Malcolm Roy, who picked up 99 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Delaware Military Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-4. As for Newark, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Delaware Military Academy will take on Caravel at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Caravel is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Newark, they will head out on the road to face off against Red Lion Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Delaware (Red Lion Christian Academy is ranked 17th, while Newark is ranked 27th).
