The Gaithersburg Trojans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their ninth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Seneca Valley, falling 73-45. Gaithersburg has struggled against Seneca Valley recently, as their contest on Wednesday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Seneca Valley got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mina Hashemzadeh out in front who scored ten points along with seven assists and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Nia Hall, who scored 16 points along with two steals.
Gaithersburg has traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Seneca Valley, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-3.
Gaithersburg will take on Northwest at TBD on Tuesday. As for Seneca Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Clarksburg at 5:30 p.m.
