The Wilson Magnet Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 43-30 to Rochester Prep. Wilson Magnet was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Rochester Prep apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2018.
Rochester Prep got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jasmine Downey out in front who scored two points along with six rebounds and six steals. Those six steals set a new season-high mark for her. Chelsea Snow was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five steals.
Wilson Magnet's loss was their third straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-3. As for Rochester Prep, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-3.
Wilson Magnet will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Geneva at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. As for Rochester Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against Young Women's College Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
