Edon hasn't had much luck against Holgate recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Bombers will be playing at home against the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. Edon will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
Edon is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Stryker 25-3 on Tuesday. With that win, the Bombers brought their scoring average up to 7.4 runs per game.
Corbin Chrisman was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Edon is undefeated when Chrisman posts two or more runs, but 4-5 otherwise.

In other batting news, Edon got a massive performance out of Braedyn Wehrle, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave Wehrle a new career-high. Christian Owens was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.
Edon always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .705. They are 4-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Montpelier hit Holgate with a four-run seventh inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Tigers took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Locomotives. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Locomotives: they've now lost six in a row.
WIEAND STALNAKER made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Matt Healy also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Edon's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-5. As for Holgate, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.
Holgate's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Edon hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .343. It's a different story for Holgate, though, as they've only averaged .218. Will they be able to contain Edon's hitters?
