 Like Marianna, Port St. Joe also got a great game from a two-way player:  Brooklyn Bishop. On the mound, she  pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Bishop was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 1-for-4 with a  home run, three  RBI,  and a  stolen base.
 In other batting news,  Anniston Gainer was cooking despite her team's loss,   scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Addy Creekmore, who  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 Marianna's win  ended  a  three-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 12-7. As for Port St. Joe, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-12.
 Marianna took their  victory against Port St. Joe  when the teams last played  back in March by a conclusive  11-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Marianna since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
