Basketball Recap: Bridgeport Piles Up the Points Against Kimball

Bridgeport won the last time they faced Kimball and things went their way on Friday too. The Bridgeport Bulldogs breezed by the Kimball Longhorns to the tune of 68-14. The squad ran away with 59 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those to pick up the victory.

Leading Bridgeport to victory were Ella Schluterbusch and Olivia Brown. Schluterbusch went 8 of 14 on her way to 17 points and eight steals, while Brown went 7 for 9 en route to 19 points and five steals. Brown is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Tacey From, who posted ten points and six steals.

Bridgeport was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive games.

Bridgeport's record now sits at 11-1. As for Kimball, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season.

Bridgeport wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 78-33 win against Mitchell on the 18th. Kimball has also already played their next game, a 49-30 loss against Prairie on the 18th.
