Meanwhile, Royal put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Zillah 21-1. Fans of the Knights have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.
Jill Allred made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with six RBI and two doubles. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Avarie Hill was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Emerson Eilers was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
