In what's become a running theme this season, the Frontenac Raiders gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 57-34 margin over Columbus. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Frontenac as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Several Titans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Katy Mooney, who scored 11 points along with five steals. Mooney has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played. Another player making a difference was Brylie Johnson, who scored six points.
Frontenac now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Columbus, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Frontenac will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Girard on February 13th. As for Columbus, they will be playing at home against Riverton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Kansas (Riverton is ranked 227th, while Columbus is ranked 218th).
