Ellie Pettit posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Thursday. As a matter of fact, she produced her best game of the campaign: she struck out 17 batters over seven innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.
