Video: Xcellent 25 Girls Volleyball Rankings presented by the Army National Guard: Oct 5th
We break down the big changes in the rankings.Averaging 14.8 kills and 20.7 digs per set, Oak Ridge moved atop this week's Maxpreps Xcellent Volleyball Rankings presented by the Army National Guard.
Oak Ridge, which is 36-0 this season and 86-13 in set play, becomes to the fourth team this season to climb to No. 1.
Fresh from a 5-0 record and title at the Lawrence Invitational, Blue West moved up three places to No. 2 this week. Power hitting Geneva moved up from No. 6 to No. 3 this week. Rounding out the Top 5 are unbeatens Lake Catholic and Jesuit, which has lost just five sets over the last three seasons.
The biggest mover of the week was Mother McAuley, a winner over Assumption in a non-conference match last Thursday and then again on Saturday en route to winning the ASICS Invitational. Mother has won 16 straight.
In addition to Mother McAuley, new teams to the Top 10 this week are Eagan, Midway and former No. 1 Sacred Heart, which was No. 14 a week ago but jumped after winning the prestigious Phoenix Nike Tournament of Champions.
The Phoenix Nike TOC had a big impact on the rankings as three teams fell out of the Top 10 and four others fell from the Top 25.
New to Top 25 this week are unbeatens Cox Mill (Concord, N.C.), Mead (Spokane, Wash.) and Skutt Catholic (Omaha, Neb.) and once beatens Novi (Mich.), Pope John Paul (Slidell, La.) and Howell (St. Charles, Mo.).

1. (2 last week) Oak Ridge (Conroe, Texas), 36-0The War Eagles blanked College Park (The Woodlands, Tex.) and Lufkin (Tex.), by a combined 150-79.
Brooke Clark is averaging 4.4 kills per set,
Raigen Cianciulli is averaging 6.6 digs and junior setter
Carly Graham is closing in on 1,000 assists for the season.
2. (5) Blue Valley West (Stilwell, Kan.), 27-0Blue Valley, 57-3, in set play, swept the Lawrence Tournament with a 6-0 record and lost one set in the process.
3. (6) Geneva (Ill.), 18-0 The Vikings, who have lost one set this season, are averaging 13.8 kills per set.
4. (8) Lake Catholic (Mentor, Ohio), 19-0The Cougars are led by libero
Taylor Sharrits' 4.5 digs per set.
5. (9) Jesuit (Portland, Ore.), 21-0 The Crusaders ran their win streak to 90 and have yet to lose a set this season while winning 52.
6. (24) Mother McAuley (Chicago, Ill.), 24-1Mother won the ASICS Tournament for the second time in three years and has won 16 straight.
7. (11) Eagan (Minn.), 18-0The Wildcats recorded 3-0 wins over Lakeville North and Farmington last week and have lost four sets this season.
8. (16) Midway (Waco, Texas), 34-2 Panthers have lost four sets in their 28-match win streak.

9. (14) Sacred Heart (Louisville, Ky.), 28-3The Valkryries won their second major tournament of the year, sweeping the Phoenix Nike TOC, and have won 11 in a row.
10. (3) Bishop Moore (Orlando, Fla.), 17-1The Hornets went 6-1 at the Nike Phoenix TOC, but lost their first match of the season (2-0) to last week's No. 1 Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.).
11. (19) Yorktown (Ind.), 25-1 Since losing, the Tigers have won 12 straight, including four to win the Muncie Invitational.
12. (21) Lewis-Palmer (Monument, Colo.), 13-0Averaging 13.5 kills per set, the Rangers are 35-2 in sets, but haven't lost a set in last 11 matches.
13. (20) Penfield (Penfield, N.Y.), 22-0The Patriots have lost one set this season.
14. (17) Corona del Sol (Tempe, Ariz.), 24-3The Aztecs lost to Nike TOC winner Sacred Heart twice in Phoenix and beat Mitty and Mater Dei.
15. (1) Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.), 20-3After seeing their 14-0 start ruined by Santa Margarita (3-0), the Monarchs went 6-2 in Phoenix at the TOC.
16. (NR) Cox Mill (Concord, N.C.), 16-0 Led by 6-3 junior
Taylor Rowland (5 kills per set), the Chargers have lost one set this season and that was four weeks ago.
17. (4) Archbishop Mitty (San Jose, Calif.), 19-3Mitty went 5-2 in Phoenix.
18. (10) Dorman (Roebuck, S.C.), 28-2The Cavaliers ran their win streak to 28 before losing to No. 15 Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.) and No. 17 Archbishop Mitty (San Jose, Calif.) at the Nike Invite where they won five times.
19. (25) Marian Central Catholic (Woodstock, Ill.), 21-1Since losing, the Hurricanes have yet to lose a set against five opponents.
20. (NR) Novi (Novi, Mich.), 28-1Behind
Erin O'Leary and
Alyssa Thompson, Novi won the Saline Invite.
21. (NR) Mead (Spokane, Wash.), 9-0Led by three-sport standout
Amanda Chan, Mead takes on 11-1 rival Gonzaga Prep (Spokane) on Tuesday.
22. (13) Assumption (Louisville, Ky.), 26-5 The Rockets lost to Mother McAuley (Chicago, Ill.) twice last week, but bounced back with rout of Floyd Central (Floyds Knob, Ind.).
23. (NR) Skutt Catholic (Omaha, Neb.), 23-0The Skyhawks might be classified a small school, but with
Allison Schomers (averaging 12.7 assists per set) running the show, there is nothing small about their talent.
24. (NR) Pope John Paul II (Slidell, La.), 26-1The youthful Jaguars (six underclassmen on roster) suffered their first loss of the season, but won six of seven matches in the Nike-Phoenix TOC.
25. (NR) Howell (St. Charles, Mo.), 27-1-1 The Vikings have won 15 in a row and avenged their only loss to Lutheran South (St. Louis). Last weekend, they swept the Pirate Classic winning all 10 sets.
Dropped Out: Clovis (Calif.), Hamilton (Ariz.), Walton (Ga.), Xavier College Prep (Ariz.), Perry (Ariz.), and DeWitt (Mich.).
