Even though the Anthony Wildcats scored an imposing 56 points on Friday, the Riverside Rangers still came out on top. Riverside took their game against Anthony 63-56. The win made it back-to-back wins for Riverside.
Riverside can attribute much of their success to Richard Arellano, who scored 23 points. That's the first time this season that Arellano scored 15 or more points. Marcus Jauregui was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Riverside's win bumped their record up to 8-15. As for Anthony, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverside will square off against Fabens at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fabens has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 14. As for Anthony, they will head out on the road to square off against McCamey at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. McCamey has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
