The Davenport Central Blue Devils have enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they must head out on the road. They will take on the Assumption Knights on Thursday. The MaxPreps rankings say the odds are against the Blue Devils, but that can only make success all the sweeter.
Everything came up roses for Davenport Central at home against Davenport West on Tuesday as the squad secured a 79-31 victory. That 48-point margin sets a new team best for Davenport Central on the season.
Meanwhile, Assumption received a tough blow on Tuesday as they fell 64-47 to Davenport North.
Davenport Central's win brought them up to 11-11 while Assumption's loss pulled them down to 12-7. The Blue Devils are 5-5 after wins this year, and Assumption is 4-2 after losses.
