The Beaumont Cougars will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Indian Hill Braves at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Beaumont is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
Even though Jurupa Hills scored an imposing 55 points on Tuesday, Beaumont still came out on top. Beaumont took their match against Jurupa Hills 64-55. Given Beaumont's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 116th, while Jurupa Hills is ranked 724th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Beaumont's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Adrian Farias led the charge by dropping a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. Those 11 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Vince tracy Capuras was another key contributor, scoring 21 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Indian Hill put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against La Salle by a score of 53-40. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Indian Hill has scored all year.
Beaumont is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. As for Indian Hill, their win bumped their record up to 6-0.
