Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Junction walked away with it. They managed a 49-43 victory over the Falls City Beavers on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Despite the defeat, Falls City saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Travis Black went 6-for-12 to rack up 15 points and seven rebounds. That's the most points Black has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kain Jurgajtis, who scored ten points.
Junction's win bumped their record up to 19-6. As for Falls City, their loss dropped their record down to 13-11.
Coming up, Junction will challenge Agua Dulce at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Agua Dulce will roll in looking for their 16th straight victory, something Junction surely won't give up without a fight. Falls City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
