Rich extended their home winning streak to five games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Jett Holmes. The Rebels walked away with a 25-18 win over the Milford Tigers on Friday with plenty of help from Holmes, who rushed for 117 yards and two scores, and also threw for 51 yards and one TD. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 51 yards.
Milford's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Griffin Walker, who rushed for 81 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries, and Kyzler Merryweather, who gained 95 total yards and two touchdowns. Merryweather also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making four total tackles and defending three passes.
Rich's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Milford, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
