Canyon Springs was led to victory by Tyler Vann and Ian Nicolls. Vann scored 11 points along with three blocks and two steals, while Nicolls dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabriel Rojo, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
When it comes to explaining why Lakeside lost, one person who can't be blamed is Maurice Turner. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 28 points and 11 rebounds. Turner continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Andrew Knudson, who scored eight points along with 13 rebounds and five assists.
Canyon Springs is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season. As for Lakeside, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-14.
