Atlantic Christian is 10-0 against the Crusaders since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the Atlantic Christian Cougars will head out on the road to face off against the Cumberland Christian Crusaders at 5:30 p.m. on February 6th. Atlantic Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight matches -- so hopefully the Crusaders like a good challenge.
Even though The Pilgrim Academy scored an imposing 58 points on Monday, Atlantic Christian still came out on top. Atlantic Christian secured a 63-58 W over the Pioneers.
Noah Stokes continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last eight times he's played. Another player making a difference was Ethan Costello, who scored six points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Cumberland Christian, who are still winless after their tenth match. They were outmatched by Calvary Academy on the road and fell 59-23. Cumberland Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-14.
Atlantic Christian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for Cumberland Christian, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-10.
Everything came up roses for Atlantic Christian against the Crusaders when the teams last played back in January as the squad secured a 79-12 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Atlantic Christian since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
