While losing is never fun, John Bapst Memorial can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while Orono is ranked fourth).
Despite the loss, John Bapst Memorial still got an impressive performance from Logun McMahon, who scored five points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tyler Wilkinson, who scored six points.
John Bapst Memorial has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-15 record this season. As for Orono, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-3.
John Bapst Memorial's road trip will continue as they head out to face Hermon at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. Hopefully John Bapst Memorial focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Saturday. As for Orono, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Old Town at 7:00 p.m. Orono is coming into the contest with three straight wins at home, so Old Town is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
