After seven games on the road, D'Evelyn is heading back home. They will take on the Conifer Lobos at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully D'Evelyn focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Friday.
Last Friday, D'Evelyn earned a 49-39 victory over Wheat Ridge.
D'Evelyn's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Taj Kumar, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Robelle Abai, who scored 15 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Conifer's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 74-34 defeat at the hands of Dakota Ridge. Conifer was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-16.
D'Evelyn has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-8 record this season. As for Conifer, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.
D'Evelyn beat Conifer 48-41 in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Does D'Evelyn have another victory up their sleeve, or will Conifer turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
