Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Western). They enjoyed a cozy 64-46 win over the Faith Christian Eagles on Saturday. With that victory, the Panthers brought their scoring average up to 51.2 points per game.

Western's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Eli Mast, who went 6 for 12 on his way to 19 points and six steals. Mast continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Biggs, who went 8 of 13 on his way to 17 points.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Luke Barrett, who went 8 of 13 on his way to 17 points. The dominant performance also gave Barrett a new career-high in boards (four). Luke Miller was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Western's record now sits at 7-3. As for Faith Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Western will head out to face off against West Lafayette at 4:45 p.m. on January 4th. As for Faith Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 70-40 defeat against University on the 28th.
