Goodrich has gone a perfect 10-0 against Kearsley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Martians will look to defend their home field against the Hornets at 4:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
On Tuesday, Goodrich had just enough and edged out Port Huron 4-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Martians.

Goodrich got a great performance from Brady Bazsler as he struck out six batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off nine hits (and only one walk). Those six strikeouts gave Bazsler a new career-high.
At the plate, Goodrich saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cross Darby, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Kearsley let Imlay City stack four runs on them in the sixth inning on Tuesday but luckily Kearsley prevailed anyway. The Hornets came out on top in a nail-biter against the Spartans, sneaking past 6-5.
Chase Tobias made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Kearsley is 5-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-9 otherwise. Tobias was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Kearsley let Aiden Tipton and Keegan Roesner run wild. Tipton went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one double, while Roesner went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. Tipton has become a key player for Kearsley: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 8-10 otherwise.
The win got Kearsley back to even at 11-11. As for Goodrich, their victory bumped their record up to 20-6.
Kearsley's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Goodrich has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .434. It's a different story for Kearsley, though, as they've only averaged .345. Will they be able to contain Goodrich's hitters?
Everything went Goodrich's way against Kearsley in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Goodrich made off with a 9-1 win. Do the Martians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hornets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
