Sterling's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Galena Park Yellowjackets with a sharp 35-14 victory. The Rangers not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 19, 2024 (when they won 56-0).

Despite the loss, Galena Park still got an impressive performance from Cary Clay, who rushed for 212 yards and one touchdown while picking up 8.8 yards per carry.

The win got Sterling back to even at 1-1. As for Galena Park, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Sterling will take on Lee at 7:00 p.m. on the 12th. As for Galena Park, they will challenge Madison at 6:00 p.m. on the 13th. The match will give the Yellowjackets their first taste of in-conference action this season.
