The Larue County Hawks will head out on the road to square off against the Campbellsville Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Larue County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1 runs per game this season.
Larue County barely beat Atherton the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Hawks were the clear victors by an 18-2 margin over the Ravens on Saturday. The win continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Ravens: they've now won seven in a row.

Ayden Seidl looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.
On the hitting side, Brayden Singleton was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with five RBI, two runs, and one double. What's more, he posted three hits, the most he's had since back in April. Braden Brooks was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.
Larue County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive games.
Campbellsville came out on top against Glasgow on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fourth inning. The Eagles had just enough and edged out the Scotties 7-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.
Cameron Estes looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kace Eastridge, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kade Somerville, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run.
Larue County's record is now 21-6-1. As for Campbellsville, their record now sits at 21-10.
Monday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Larue County has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .459. However, it's not like Campbellsville struggles in that department as they've averaged .444. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Larue County's way against Campbellsville in their previous meeting back in April, as Larue County made off with a 12-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hawks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
