Given Brusly's advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while Woodlawn-B.R. is ranked 101st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Woodlawn-B.R.'s loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Myron Nelson, who scored 9 points along with 5 steals, and Kelinee Stone who scored 6 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals.
Brusly's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.5 points per game. As for Woodlawn-B.R., their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
