Softball Recap: T.R. Miller Wins Going Away Against Excel

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only T.R. Miller walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Excel Panthers on Friday as they made off with a 6-0 win. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Excel's batters probably weren't too happy with Ollie Billingsley, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 13 Ks (she gave up zero walks).

At the plate, Meg Fountain was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Madi Anderson, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

T.R. Miller now has a winning record of 18-17-1. As for Excel, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-14.

T.R. Miller wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 17-0 win against Monroe County on the 25th. As for Excel, they have also already played their next contest, a 17-0 victory against Hillcrest on the 25th.
