On Saturday, King's Academy had to suffer through a rough 58-8 loss at the hands of Westlake Academy. King's Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-6.
Leading Westlake Academy to victory were Kyren Smith and Andrew Hoang . Smith rushed for 90 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries, while Hoang rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. Preston Colby was in the mix as well, providing Westlake Academy with two touchdowns.
King's Academy has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Westlake Academy, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-3.
King's Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Westlake Academy will head out on the road to face off against Stephenville FAITH at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Stephenville FAITH will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
