It was a good run, but American School for the Deaf unfortunately witnessed the end of their 22-match winning streak on Sunday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rochester School for the Deaf Wildcats. The Tigers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

While American School for the Deaf had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-20.

Suhjaira DeJesus paced American School for the Deaf's offense, picking up four kills. DeJesus really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with eight. K'Marie Owens controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

American School for the Deaf's loss dropped their record down to 24-3. As for Rochester School for the Deaf, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 17-5.

American School for the Deaf wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Marvelwood on the 27th. Rochester School for the Deaf does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
