The  win was all the more spectacular given the Spartans' disadvantage  in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings  (they are ranked 299th, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 145th).
Sparta moved to 4-10 with that  victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Morris Knolls,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 6-10.
