Basketball Recap: Bastrop Skates Past North Webster with Ease

Bastrop won the last time they faced North Webster and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bastrop Rams blew past the North Webster Knights 53-15. The Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 21 points or more this season.

Bastrop's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kayleah Wilson led the charge by putting up 16 points and five steals. That's the most points Wilson has posted since back in December of 2023. Delasia Toston was another key player, posting 13 points in addition to seven boards and four blocks.

Bastrop has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 30.1 points. As for North Webster, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bastrop will head out to face off against Carroll at 6:00 p.m. on January 28th. As for North Webster, they are taking a road trip to take on Haynesville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
