The Mullins Auctioneers will head out on the road to challenge the Atlantic Collegiate Academy Armada at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.
Mullins is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Kingstree: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Mullins blew Kingstree out of the water with a 67-28 final score. The Auctioneers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 22 points or more this season.

Mullins can attribute much of their success to Dakarai Worley, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 17 boards, and Deyon Ford, who went 8 of 19 on his way to 17 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals. Ford has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 20 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Ernest Ford, who posted 11 points and five steals.
Mullins smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 26 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Atlantic Collegiate Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 34.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 59-46 victory over the Demons.
Mullins better keep an eye on Jamie Brooks. He was instrumental in Atlantic Collegiate Academy's win, almost dropping a double-double on 23 points and nine rebounds. Brooks continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Jaylen Bellamy was another key player, going 9 for 13 en route to 15 points and three steals.
Mullins has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.2 points per game. As for Atlantic Collegiate Academy, their win bumped their record up to 12-3.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as Mullins and Atlantic Collegiate Academy are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Mullins hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 63.8 points per game. However, it's not like Atlantic Collegiate Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 61.4 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
Mullins skirted past Atlantic Collegiate Academy 66-64 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mullins since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
