The Pine-Richland Rams will face off against the Lampeter-Strasburg Pioneers on Thursday. Pine-Richland is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.

Pine-Richland is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They walked away with an 8-5 victory over Central Mountain.

Pine-Richland let Breck Hemphill and Sam Heckert run wild. Hemphill went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double, while Heckert went 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple. That's the most RBI Hemphill has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Mengine, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Lampeter-Strasburg entered their tilt with Peters Township on Monday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Indians.

Lampeter-Strasburg also got a great performance from Devin Aponte as he pitched 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.

At the plate, Lampeter-Strasburg saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Hart, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Lampeter-Strasburg's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-6. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Pine-Richland, their record now sits at 21-4.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Pine-Richland has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Lampeter-Strasburg struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
