They really took it to Mater Academy East Las Vegas for the full four quarters, racking up a 68-41 victory on the road. Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Moapa Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Claire Cox, who scored 18 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. Meanwhile, Cristo Rey St. Viator's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Pinecrest Academy Cadence, falling 37-9. Cristo Rey St. Viator has struggled against Pinecrest Academy Cadence recently, as their contest on Monday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Moapa Valley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season. As for Cristo Rey St. Viator, they bumped their record down to 2-10 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home.
