The Lehighton Indians pushed their score all the way to 70 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 78-70 to North Schuylkill. Lehighton has not had much luck with the Spartans recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
North Schuylkill had a senior duo take command as Jack Keiter scored 26 points along with seven steals and Zane Zulkowski scored 21 points along with five assists and three steals. Zulkowski has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last seven times he's played. Another player making a difference was Caden Mengel, who scored seven points.
Lehighton dropped their record down to 11-7 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for North Schuylkill, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.
Lehighton has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. As for North Schuylkill, they will head out on the road to challenge the Crimson Tide at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
