The Liberty Christian Warriors had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. Everything went their way against Bridgeport as Liberty Christian made off with a 63-38 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Liberty Christian also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2018.
Liberty Christian found their leader in underclassman Dj Denney, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Lohmann, who scored 11 points along with four steals.
Liberty Christian's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-15. As for Bridgeport, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Burkburnett the next time they take the court. Liberty Christian will head out to face Burkburnett at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, while Bridgeport will host them at 12:30 p.m. on Friday.
