Desert Vista (Phoenix, Ariz.).

Kevin Walters in the second quarter, the Huskies led 16-0 at the half.
Hamilton expanded its lead to 17 points entering the fourth quarter. HHS's lone score in the quarter came on a touchdown pass by
Aj Thigpen to
Israel Simpson.
With the win the Chandler school extended its winning streak to five games. The Huskies defeated the Wolves 34-18 last week.
Walters played well for Hamilton in the victory. The senior running back ran for one touchdown.
Zach Gonzalez played well for the Thunder. The senior running back ran for one touchdown. He has now scored seven touchdowns on the season.
Led by
Cole Luke, HHS went into the matchup giving up only 14.3 points per game. The 13 points that Desert Vista ended with were well below its average of 39.0 coming into the game.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 35-10 win for the Huskies.
The defeat comes as a step back for Desert Vista, which notched a 56-35 victory over Saguaro in its previous outing. The loss snapped DV's 3-game winning streak.
In a I Section II game next week Hamilton (5-2) takes on Dobson, and Desert Vista (5-2) will go up against Mesquite in a non-conference game.
