In what's become a running theme this season, the Hoggard Vikings gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They really took it to North Brunswick for the full four quarters, racking up a 51-15 win on the road. The victory was nothing new for Hoggard as they're now sitting on eight straight.
Hoggard's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tristan Shivers, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Sarah Elgart, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, North Brunswick struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Hoggard pulled down 24 offensive rebounds.
Hoggard's win was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-1. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 33.6 points. As for North Brunswick, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hoggard will take on the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. West Brunswick will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 213th, while the Vikings are ranked 15th). As for North Brunswick, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m.
