Basketball Recap: Ridgefield Comes Up Short

After flying high against Hockinson last Thursday, Ridgefield came back down to earth. The Ridgefield Spudders fell just short of the Snohomish Panthers by a score of 52-49 on Friday. The game marked the Spudders' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

The loss snapped Ridgefield's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-2 record. As for Snohomish, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-6.

Ridgefield will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Washougal at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Washougal has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 197 points over their last three contests. As for Snohomish, they will square off against Marysville-Pilchuck at 8:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Snohomish is facing Marysville-Pilchuck at the right time seeing as Marysville-Pilchuck is stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
