Basketball Recap: J.F. Webb Takes a Loss

After soaring to 58 points the game before, J.F. Webb was a bit more limited in their game on Wednesday. They were outmatched by the Southern School of Energy and Sustainability Spartans and fell 64-12. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Spartans recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Southern School of Energy and Sustainability's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jakayla Palmer, who posted seven points in addition to ten assists and seven boards. Palmer has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ashlyn Hudson, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.

J.F. Webb's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Southern School of Energy and Sustainability, their victory was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-2.

J.F. Webb will host Carrboro at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southern School of Energy and Sustainability, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Louisburg at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Louisburg will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Southern School of Energy and Sustainability surely won't give up without a fight.
