Softball Recap: Northside Drops Highest Score of Season Against Alma

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Northside). They were the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over the Alma Airedales on Monday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Grizzlies as it put an end to their eight-game losing streak.

Addison Foster was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Malia Burnett, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double.

Northside was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. The last time their batting average was this high was April 1st.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-16. As for Alma, they dropped their record down to 9-11 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Coming up, Northside will take on Bentonville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Grizzlies will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least ten runs in their last four matchups. As for Alma, they will head out to face off against Mountain Home at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
