Mountain Island Charter had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They blew past the Corvian Community Cardinals 50-30. The Raptors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 20 points or more this season.

Mountain Island Charter's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Reagan Hart, who went 5 for 10 on her way to 13 points in addition to five assists and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Genesis Cooke, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.

Corvian Community lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Catie Wheatley, who posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Nia Ivory, who put up six points.

The win got Mountain Island Charter back to even at 9-9. As for Corvian Community, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountain Island Charter will take on Bradford Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mountain Island Charter is facing Bradford Prep at the right time seeing as Bradford Prep is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Corvian Community, they will challenge Pine Lake Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
