Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Seabreeze's Third in Last Four Outings

Seabreeze won the last time they faced First Baptist Christian Academy, and Michelle Ackley did her part to make sure it happened again. The Seabreeze Sandcrabs snuck past the First Baptist Christian Academy Crusaders with a 47-43 victory on Tuesday thanks in part to Ackley, who posted 17 points. Those 17 points gave her a new career-high.

Despite the loss, First Baptist Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Paiden Hickman dropped a double-double on 13 points and 18 rebounds. With that strong performance, Hickman is now averaging an impressive 8.4 boards per game. Kat Cyren was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Seabreeze is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-8 record this season. As for First Baptist Christian Academy, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-2.

Seabreeze has already played their next match, a 47-33 loss against Atlantic on the 23rd. As for First Baptist Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 44-42 win against Matanzas on the 24th.
