Having just played yesterday, the Idea Timberwolves will jump right back in to play the Sandy Spring Friends Wildebeests at 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Idea comes in on three and Sandy Spring Friends on five.
On Tuesday, Idea faced DC International in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Idea took down DC International 62-44. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Idea considering their two-point performance the game before.
Idea got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Nehemiah Johnson out in front who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Malachi Hoston, who scored nine points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Sandy Spring Friends scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They blew past Model Secondary School for the Deaf 95-27 at home. Sandy Spring Friends has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 23 points or more this season.
Idea is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Sandy Spring Friends, their win bumped their record up to an identical 14-5.
Idea was dealt a bruising 68-22 defeat at the hands of Sandy Spring Friends in their previous matchup back in December of 2018. Can Idea avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
