The Weymouth Wildcats lost against the Needham Rockets back in September of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Weymouth was the victim of a tough 33-7 defeat at the hands of Needham.
Leading Needham to victory were Tate J Hoffmeister and Aidan Williams. J Hoffmeister rushed for 137 yards and a touchdown, while Williams rushed for 106 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries. J Hoffmeister is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last five games he's played.
Weymouth's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Needham, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Weymouth will take on Wellesley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wellesley is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games. As for Needham, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Framingham at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Framingham will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Massachusetts Rankings (they are ranked 80th, while Needham is ranked 11th).
