The Cloverdale Eagles will face off against the Berkeley Yellowjackets at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cloverdale is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games.
On Friday, Cloverdale got the win against Healdsburg by a conclusive 9-2. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won 13 matches by seven runs or more so far this season.
Camryn Bird made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Emerson Reasoner and Camryn Donahoo did most of the damage at the plate: Reasoner went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double, while Donahoo went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Donahoo has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times she's played. Meanwhile, after soaring to 18 runs the game before, Berkeley was a bit more limited in their game on Wednesday. They fell just short of Arroyo by a score of 3-2. The Yellowjackets haven't had much luck with the Dons recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.
Olive Lightfoot spent all 7.2 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up ten Ks.
At the plate, Berkeley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mia Kaufman, who went 1-for-4 with one run and one double.
Cloverdale's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Berkeley, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-15.
