The Geneva Panthers have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 47-31 bruising from McGill-Toolen on Saturday.
Geneva lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Simone Minnifield, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
Geneva has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-5 record this season. As for McGill-Toolen, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-6.
Geneva will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Dale County at 5:30 p.m. on January 9th. As for McGill-Toolen, they will head out on the road to face off against Robertsdale at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
