St. Michael the Archangel extended their home winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Bokenkroger Molly. The Guardians blew past Barstow 3-0 on Thursday with plenty of help from Molly, who had 21 digs and four assists. She has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last nine times she's played.
The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant St. Michael the Archangel was: they took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-1, 25-15.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Michael the Archangel to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mara Franke, who had seven digs and three aces. That's the most aces Franke has posted over her last six matchups.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Staley, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Blue Springs South on Thursday.
In the three sets Staley was on fire: they won each by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-12, 15-25, 25-14, 25-13.
The win got Staley back to even at 13-13. As for St. Michael the Archangel, their victory bumped their record up to 23-7.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Monday's match: St. Michael the Archangel has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 6.3 aces per game. However, it's not like Staley struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.2 aces.
